Local Foods, Local Places Community Workshops
July 16th & 17th
The Charlottesville Local Foods, Local Places workshop is a part of the EPA technical assistance grant that the city and CFJN received to use for assistance in identifying strategies for enhancing our community through local foods. During the workshop, community members, local leaders, and federal and state experts will come together to create a cohesive plan with actionable steps for food access, urban agriculture, and economic development. Progress towards city-wide food security will be made with the help of governmental experts, this workshop will enable our community to incorporate the skill based capacity needed in food systems planning to formulate a coherent strategy to create a more equitable and secure food system in Charlottesville.
